| I recently subscribed for a Salt fiber and my fiber connection is up and running. I was wondering if I can cancel my cable connection i.e. ask for the sealing of the cable plug? The cost of the normal cable connection is usually included in the rent (telereseau) and costs, at least in my case, 35 CHF/month. Since I don't use it, I would like to cancel it. I found a news article online which says that if you have a ADSL or other internet connection over the phone line, you should cancel the cable connection not to pay it for nothing (in French, https://www.cooperation.ch/blogs/le-...double--61958/).
I also read from another source that the price of the telereseau was recently increased to cover the costs of building the fiber network infra. So my only concern is that is the fiber plug somehow related to the telereseau and would they also seal that if I cancel the cable connection. Has anyone experience on this? | |

They dont seal anymore. At least not UPC. Thats why I can use the radio part for free
You have to cancel it over the Landlord. Contact your landlord. There is a form to fill out but I cant find the link to it. It costs nothing to seal it.
The fible connection has nothing to do with the cable connection .
In your case the costs are included in your rent so you proceed as follows:
"Tenants who do not need the cable connection must notify the landlord in writing. It is best to send a copy of the letter to UPC or the local cable network operator at the same time. The lessor may continue to charge the fees at the latest until the next termination date according to the rental agreement. The tenants do not have to pay anything for the termination or the sealing of the cable socket."
