TV with Bluetooth and Netflix

I am looking for a TV and I have two requirements: :-)

1. It must have Bluetooth so that I can connect wireless headphones
2. It must have netflix (or so that I can install it).

what are my options? As for the size, screen technology (LDE OLED LCD), I think any recent year models are ok. Manufacturer I am ok with any of them. But I don't want to spend more than 800 CHF

Re: TV with Bluetooth and Netflix

I recently bought a TV for our spare room and my requirements were the same, but for a smaller TV.

What I found is that Netflix is almost universal on all TVs, I couldn't find a single one with Bluetooth. In the end I bought a little bluetooth adapter that plugs into the headphone socket . (Don't ask how it works, as I haven't tried yet, as the room is much more soundproof than expected!)

I'm missing resolution and size.

If you want 65" 4K your budget is doable but tight, if you are fine with 43" you can already order a LG smart 4K TV for 399,- at for example fust.

So you are happy with 55" or 65"?

55" Samsung Q6 QLED for 799 https://www.preispirat.ch/55-tv-sams...bei-microspot/

55" LG 699chf https://www.melectronics.ch/de/p/770...8100-139-cm-4k

Re: TV with Bluetooth and Netflix

Adding to this thread to all the TV experts.

No having ever owned a TV, I may actually finally get one. The kids are fed up with watching films on a (large) monitor and now due to a bit of work (see my stud wall thread), we've got a cosy, dedicated room where we can put one, and where the monitor is now a bit too far from the sofa.

As the last time I worked with TVs was when they had CRTs, I need to get up to speed but I noticed Digitec had an offer on the LG OLED65C8 (65", 4K, OLED).

So, what do I get for 1700 (reduced from 2000) which I wouldn't get for 800. (not necessarily planning to spend that much but am wondering)?

Don't really need the sound as have a Sony sound bar.

Thanks

Oled in my opinion has much nicer image quality/colors when compared to the more traditional LED screens. This already shows clearly in stores where most often the settings are all but optimised. If this extra image quality is worth the money, is fully up to you. Just walk in MediaMarket/Interdiscount/Fust etc, and have a look for yourself.

For the rest there will be no differences (assuming they are both Smart and 4K) in usage when all you want is to watch telly, Netflix and hook up a console in future (to just name some)

Re: TV with Bluetooth and Netflix

Check for the wireless headphones.

When I last looked it was great that the TVs supported Bluetooth headphones, but they only supported one connection at a time !! No good if two of you want to watch TV late at night without disturbing the other residents of the apartment.

Ended up getting a set of Sennheisers to solve this little problem.

Re: TV with Bluetooth and Netflix

All Samsung Smart TVs should support Netflix and Bluetooth - I have one of the smaller model from 2 years ago and it supports both.

Re: TV with Bluetooth and Netflix

You don't need to streaming services available on the TV. Just get a streaming box or dongle such as amazon fire stick or a Roku stick. TVs don't get replaced often and this is better way to go.

Have fun

Re: TV with Bluetooth and Netflix

Hi

You are not limited to apps that come with the TV and sadly you cannot get one device or TV that supports all streaming services. For example when Disney plus launches it is mostly likely to be offered by external streaming boxes first.

Disney Plus will launch on several television platforms on release date. (Old news actually)

The problem you name is not really a problem when sticking to a major brand which uses a common OS and all of the most common streaming services.

Migros has the LG OLED E8 65" for 1700 on sale. Connects to BT headphones and has many apps (Including direct Netflix) as well as the ability to add external storage (USB/HDD) to play files (Movies, music, pics).

OP Probably too quick with the superlatives, certainly external sticks/dongles like Roku can expand your options but nothing that constitutes better per se

Just like with computers/phones, the OS of a 'smart' TV does make a difference. Been very happy with the newer LG tvs in this regard

I am not sure of the logic of your post. If he is going to buy a decent new TV then it's anyway very likely going to be a Smart TV such as LG or Samsung with access to the vast majority of streaming services. I use only my TV SmartOS (from 2015 so not even new) and combined with a VPN it covers pretty much all of my needs.
