Amazon - a way to search for items deliverable to CH?

Oftentimes when I go looking for something on Amazon, there end up being at least a couple items that meet my criteria that do indeed ship to CH. Problem is, depending on the type of item, it can sometimes take me a very long to find them. There doesn't seem to be any way other than going to the product detail page and then seeing the red "This item does not ship to Switzerland" text on the right. I can't find any way to filter search results to exclude these, so I have to just open detail pages for items endlessly until I hopefully find one or more without the dreaded red text. Does anyone have a trick for this? Am I missing anything obvious?

Re: Amazon - a way to search for items deliverable to CH?

It's frustrating, isn't it?

For non-book orders, I usually search with the 'International Versand' filter on - but this is general international delivery, it only excludes items deliverable in Germany only. You will still get the 'does not deliver to Switzerland' message 80% of the time. But that's better than 95%, which is what I seem to get without that filter.

Good luck.

you can set up an account under https://www.meineinkauf.ch/ and then everything can be shipped to Switzerland via them

I am with you, very frustrating! I wrote Amazon about this: a little box "delvery to CH" woud be nice, but never got an answer. I am buying less and less through them now.

I use amazon . com and . de quite a bit and have found no better way, what has been discussed is all there is. Maybe one day they will make it sortable by country.

Remember you can opt to have them delivered to an Amazon pick-up point just over the border in Germany (or France). Not worth it for one-off small purchases, but I've done this several times for bigger ticket items, or if I have several lower cost items that I can package up. From Zurich, you can get there in an hour or so. You can claim back the tax too, if payable.

I have had mixed results on recent orders. Single order for single item, works ok. Multiple items delivered in single box from Amazon.de, meineinkauf still wants to charge for every item as separate deliveries.

I had ordered some t-shirts from Uniqlo.de, they charged me additional for every t-shirt in the box above 3, it was hilarious.

So tread with your eyes open.

filter on seller amazon.de
I was unsure of the utility of this advice since... how to know which sellers on which to filter?

But one great discovery is this: AmazonBasics seems to always ship to Switzerland. And they make whole classes of products which tend to be price-gouged in Switzerland. E.g. an AmazonBasics USB 2.0 A-Male to Micro B Cable, 3 meters, is €4.49. I just paid 22 CHF for the same at InterDiscount the other day because I was in a hurry to get one.

Amazon will ship to the post office in Divonne-les-Bains. I believe there is a size limitation.

Re: Amazon - a way to search for items deliverable to CH?

Hi all,

Not sure if this will be helpful, but I often use a workaround to get my purchases shipped to Switzerland. I noticed that if instead clicking `add to basket` I go to `other sellers in Amazon` and select `amazon.de` it does, in many cases, become available for shipping.

Never works with electronics, but it does with clothing. I'd say is worth trying.

Bests,

ima

Re: Amazon - a way to search for items deliverable to CH?

What kind of things are you searching for? There are good on-line sites within CH for most things, and can expect delivery within about 2 days, and really easy returns within 30 days eg:

https://www.galaxus.ch/en - for almost anything
https://www.digitec.ch/ - you can find almost all electronic / digital
https://www.zalando.ch/ - great for clothes and all brands

As always, keep in-mind your overall environmental footprint of course.

Digitech or galaxus are a joke in custumer service, even more compared to amazon service.
