Blocking TripAdvisor.

Is there any way to block a specific domain from my search engine. Looking for a specific restaurant or hotel just about always ends up with them at the top.

I donít use them and I donít think their reviews are any good (or honest) and they really have no value to me. I would like to banish them forever from my browser.

Can this be done?

Re: Blocking TripAdvisor.

You can add this to your search field:

Quote:
-site:tripadvisor.com -site:tripadvisor.ch
And when in Germany replace the last "ch" with "de" etc.. etc..

And chrome at least should have an option to keep websites out of search results in the settings or through an extension.

Re: Blocking TripAdvisor.

Seems like those are suggestions that need to be done anew in every single search. I think OP is looking for a way to eliminate them entirely and never have to think about them again. Bowlie doesn't want a fly-detour sign to wave every search, but an effective, once and for all fly-swatter.

Then as EdNL says, an extension is the answer..

"extension to block certain sites from search results" yields many results..

But with extensions comes another set of potential issues. For the amount of times I search for a restaurant and don't want to see tripadvisor, i'd do it case by case.
