Bargaining a combo from Salt?

I have two Salt Europe contracts that I need to cancel or renew in the coming months. I was also looking into Salt Fiber. So, a combo of 2 Salt Europe* (without devices) + 1 Fiber. Since I am already four years with them I was wondering what is a realistic offer I could bargain for? For example, has anyone Salt Europe (without device) for less than 69 per month? Has anyone Salt Fiber for less than 40 (39.95) per month? Or maybe you didn’t have to pay the activation fee for Fiber?

For your information I already called them, but they gave me nothing more than what I can get from their site as a new customer. Which means that they either are not aware of or do not care for customer loyalty. I was also surprised that they couldn’t offer a combo offer “because mobile and fiber are different departments” (!). Don’t get me wrong, they do have competitive products, but it feels they aim for new customers, and I’m used to receive much more competitive offers when it’s about staying with a company.

*My needs are unlimited calls and data in CH/EU (calls from CH to EU and vice versa). No need for USA/Canada.

They already give you 10,- discount. What do you want? 10gbps for 25,-....

Heh, true, that’s a steal, but I’m interested to see if being a long-standing / loyal customer makes a difference or not. And what are their “red-lines” so to say (e.g. we can’t drop below 45 for Salt Europe), which should be the cost of service for them in the end.

For example, I’ve read that some Fiber users didn’t pay for the installation/activation fee. Or if my memory serves me well, they offered Europe for 49 during last summer. Also a friend told me that they are more flexible in subsidizing a new device, than lowering the monthly subscription cost.

So, they are flexible for sure, I’m just trying to see what is the breaking point.

Re: Bargaining a combo from Salt?

Have been on Salt Europe for CHF59 pcm for the last 3 years. At the last renewal they tried to increase the price but I pushed them and they agreed to keep it the same. Am good for another year at this price point. Hope that helps!

On what grounds they tried to increase the price?

Re: Bargaining a combo from Salt?

The original contract length was 24 months - at the end of this contractual period the original offer price of CHF59 for Salt Europe no longer existed.

Hence why they tried to put me on the new tariff of CHF69 pcm but I called customer services and they agreed to keep me at CHF59 for the next 24 months.

FWIW A lot of folks rant about Salt but so far I've been well looked after and find their customer service super helpful.
