Yallo Swype?

Good morning,

Anyone using yallo swype? It’s 39chf all in and 3chf per day for international use which includes EU and USA. 39chf is the same as my UPC contract but I get 10gb EU only a month so I’m not sure if it’s worth changing at the moment. 10chf off if paying via twint which is ok but only until end of March apparently.

Any views would be great...

Re: Yallo Swype?

I have the same question. Their plan includes unlimited data for 20 CHF/month.

Includes the US and EU? Well this probably means calls from CH to US, EU. Not roaming in US, EU where they likely will screw you over, like they did me.

Not sure where you're looking, but I see that it says International roaming is chf3/day, so apparently not included.

Having said that, the website is truly awful, so it wouldn't surprise me if I, or you, had misread it somewhere. So bad is the website that after clicking around for a couple of minutes I still have no real idea of their offerings, nor what it means by eSim, or "swyping in and out"

Re: Yallo Swype?

My experience with them was a couple of years ago. I was in Canada when they sent me a text saying we see you are out of Switzerland. If you click here you get unlimited 1 month roaming for only 19.90. So I clicked. Use phone for a few calls locally and half a dozen calls back to Switzerland.

Got the bill and it was over 500. Called them to learn that that deal didn’t apply to Canada and I should have read the fine print. The refused to refund me anything, not even the 19.90.

Barstewards.

I paid an early cancellation fee to get away from their clutches. Never again.

So, read the fine print. If you can find it.

Re: Yallo Swype?

I don’t understand the Yallo Swype website. But looks like you can choose and change what you want. Ie pay daily 1.50 and swipe out if not using phone for a few days. Or pay monthly 20. Looks like you can swipe in and out out the roaming option too. eSim is for the newer phones, you don’t put a physical sim in your phone, you scan a QR code instead I think.

But I’m with normal Yallo and have had no problems, unlimited minutes, texts and 4G in and to Europe, US & Canada for the discounted price of 46 a month. They are always dishing out discounts if you call them up!

Indeed. Looks like a very big IF so far.

I tried again, but still don't get it. "get the app" seems to be the main message, but with no real clue what it does, I'm not going to just load some random app to find out.

Re: Yallo Swype?

I just learned this today. You can't call 084* numbers

I had to dig out this information. Nowhere written in their FAQ.

I also wrote about it in the chat support and the chat got closed automatically about 2 times so far with no answer (which can be seen too in the 1 star reviews on their app...)
