what's up with fujitsu (Lifebooks)?!

I'm a fan of fujitsu Lifebooks. While the one before this one is still running nicely - in the neighbours flat - mine started to fall apart. It lost screws yet they could not be put back in. So one side at the front was slightly open and a rattle told me, there was something broken inside. I shook that piece out easily. I figured so what and just taped it with black insulating tape. Pretty impressive, it's not visible LOL. This notebook has never been hit or dropped before, so no idea what makes it dissolve.

Then the weirdest thing happened: Two days ago I had a dream in which someone smashed someone else's laptop. When I came out my bedroom still a bit sleepy, carrying my laptop, I got stuck on a banister and for the first time ever in my life - I dropped the notebook. It fell flat head over on the floor, like these buttered toasts do.
A tiny bit cracked and one opening in the back didn't look right anymore. So more electric tape. It still runs perfectly - so far. The keyboard is a little louder and it doesn't charge anymore, in fact you unplug it and it shuts down. Not much of a notebook anymore now and I do a back-up of the daily activities every night as I have no idea, how much longer it will actually stay alive.

SO! The above was just getting things off my chest. LOL.
The problem now is that the kind of fujitsu lifebook (under 1K franks - they all were) and some musts (15.6", matt full HD display, a cpu with a clock frequency of more than 2GHz, 8GB RAM - rather 16 - , num-block and Swiss keyboard) ..... is all on the market but not deliverable! Most are marked "auf Bestellung" (can be ordered) and a few say August 2020 but that sounds just like a wild guess to me. Digitec has a ton with German keyboards (they're a pita when using more languages than German).

Loooong story short: Fujitsu doesn't seem to deliver. And as we know goods travel freely during corona times, it seems they don't produce. Any info on them? Other problems besides corona?

Can have this one by Tue..

But a bit on the expensive side. Why not a happy HP for half the price?

Lenovo is also not bad: https://www.digitec.ch/de/s1/product...ebook-12322126

Thanks for checking. That fujitsu is basically what I have now - for 800.00 - so too expensive. The Lenovo is 14" screen and when it comes to laptops I insist on bigger being better.
Years ago I stored in my brain to never buy a HP again. I did not bother storing the reasons but they must have been convincing.

I've bought a Fujitsu Stylistic a couple of weeks ago. Second hand, was a steal. Very unusual but actually really nice device.
