Silly question time: Packaging for TV's/Electrical goods - keep or chuck?

Yes, me again with my daft question.

OK, so thanks to all who replied to the Swisscom packaging question.

I now move on to electrical goods purchased. It has always been in my head that retailers require the original packaging if the appliance goes wrong. I have traditionally kept all of it, but for some stuff, that was out of warranty, it got ditched.

We have moved now, and unless something dramatic happens we are not going to move again in a hurry (we have bought a place, so not renting).

Within our move last year, that packaging actually came in useful for transportation. But now it seems to be clogging my Keller - it might be nice to reclaim the space back.

Any feedback on keeping original packaging is appreciated - keep or ditch.

(Ok, it may seem obvious, but it would be good to put this one to bed esp for my own sanity).

Thx in advance.

I keep it a few days and if stuff works as it should I toss all the packaging out.

I would keep it only if you plan to be moving at some point in the not-too-distant future and would need it to safely transport the TV to your new place. But you can buy large, flat boxes for TV's on amazon, etc.
