Sunrise 5G

Finally reasonably priced 5G phones (OnePlus Nord) are being released, so does anyone have experience with Sunrise 5G? Sunrise 4G was always very slow for me. Does anyone know what 5G bands they're using (in Zurich)? Can you take advantage of 5G through Sunrise MVNO's (Yallo, etc.)? How's the speed and latency compared to 4G?

Re: Sunrise 5G

Alright, so apparently the band they're using is n78 (3500 MHz), which is good news.

Anyone here with some first hand experience?

Apparently digitec connect doesn't support 5G right now:

Sunrise 5G coverage map: https://www.sunrise.ch/en/residentia...-coverage.html (darkest red)

Swisscom 5G coverage map: https://scmplc.begasoft.ch/plcapp/pa...zabdeckung.jsf (I think only 5G+ is real 5G)

Re: Sunrise 5G

Does anyone know if the Sunrise "Fair Use Policy" (deprioritization after just 60 GB!) applies to 5G as well?

Thanks for the reply! So when was that?

What were your expectations and what were the results?

Re: Sunrise 5G

5 months ago. speed boost wasn't really there vs 4G. in the ZH city - 5G was 40% of time on major roads across the city - so my expectations towards more rural areas are set for the moment.

5G seem today just offer couple more freq. ranges and perhaps with more new BTSs out there it be better one day . However it's up to you - get 5G phone and let us know how it looks like.

cheers
