Switch from Salt to Lidl Connect?

Just saw Lidl Connect is running what seems to me to be a very good deal—15 francs/month for 5 Go of 4G a month plus free unlimited calls and texts in CH. Seeing as I'm paying Salt more than that for less data, and my husband pays quite a lot more for unlimited data, which he isn't using right now since he's working from home (and honestly I don't think he uses more than 5 Go a month anyway), I'm honestly considering switching us over. It appears Lidl uses the Salt network anyway.

Has anyone used Lidl Connect? Any experiences/opinions? Other better options in your opinion?

I wouldn't bother. Did you realize Lidl connect uses the SALT network?
I pay 29 CHF per month for my SALT unlimited contract with 500 MB roaming and 100 min phone calls within the EU.

Re: Switch from Salt to Lidl Connect?

I managed to negotiate with Salt 39.99 CHF for everything unlimited in CH, unlimited 4G in EU/US and 60 min in EU/US. They used to have Salt Young (Youth?) option and I convinced them to give it also to me even though I'm more than 30 yo

Yes as I wrote in the post

Sounds like I need to negotiate with Salt better. We were on a really good two year contract but we have full price now and they’re not giving a good option for a new one.

Re: Switch from Salt to Lidl Connect?

Our contract was coming to an end with Salt - and the product Europe XXL was going up by CHF20 to CHF89.95. They offered it to us for CHF69.95 by text but we were sure there was a better deal to be had. Previously I was paying CHF59 on a SIM only deal. We found deals from Wingo & Sunrise basically offering more or less same deal for CHF40 on special during Nov.

Salt customer service could not help or match the deal so I phoned up the dedicated cancellation hotline and told them I wanted to quit as it was too expensive and told them about the deals above. Long story short I walked away with two x Europe XXL packages at CHF69 each PLUS a new iPhone 12 with 128GB for CHF5 each a month for myself and my partner. Plus the customer service dude couldn't have been more helpful...
