Apple HomePod (mini)?

Hey!

Can anyone tell me why there is not in the apple store any HomePod? Why apple is not providing this product in Switzerland?

I'm interesting in the mini version…

I'm not sure! You can't get any homepod here from Apple. However - you can still order online - just not from apple.

Re: Apple HomePod (mini)?

I have ordered via digitrends last week. No idea how long it’ll take though. Might’ve made more sense to drive over the border to Germany.

Re: Apple HomePod (mini)?

Well it's only presale for now - starts shipping Friday, but I also recently read that delivery dates from Apple in Germany are up to 8-11 weeks..

I ordered yesterday from digitrends, but don't have any update as to when it will ship either. Guess I'll get a nice Christmas present then

Same here. Mine is the US version, but works well and you just have to add an adapter (for a change )

Re: Apple HomePod (mini)?

Anyone with the Mini experiencing problems with their wifi connection?

Often I ask Siri a question and it tells me to wait... then that it's having trouble connecting to the internet. Interestingly, this problem started only a month or so ago.

After some research, it may be related to my UPC router. Some routers offer two wifi frequencies separately, by providing two separate networks (2.4 and 5 GHz) e.g. Sunrise routers. However, others show just one network and switch between the two automatically, like my UPC router. I have a feeling that my router is switching between the two frequencies and the HomePod Mini can't keep up. At least, no other device in my apartment has a problem.

Re: Apple HomePod (mini)?

The "HomePod" is being discontinued: https://www.macrumors.com/2021/03/12...nuing-homepod/

So only the minis can now be gotten from apple directly.

It really depends what one wants to use them for though; I simply have an Apple TV for "TV things" (which means not Apple TV+, but Netflix/Disney+ ) and for the good old analog amplifier I got a raspberry with shairplay to stream to.
