Re: UPC/Sunrise - Internet/Mobile advice

Edit- https://www.trustpilot.com/review/yallo.ch

For 39-49 looks very nice! Anyone, has it? Is Yallo's internet stable like UPC? I rely on internet for business so can't have outages!

https://www.yallo.ch/en/home-fiber

I have the fiber optic socket but 15 days!!!!!!!!

How long does it take to install my fiber optic connection?
If you already have a fiber optic socket at home and you provide the fiber number (OTO ID) when ordering, the activation will take about 15 days. If you do not have a fiber optic socket, the activation will take about 3 weeks, because a technician has to install this socket at your home. In exceptional cases it can take up to 6 weeks.

Re: UPC/Sunrise - Internet/Mobile advice

Ok! All done. I moved my Sunrise mobile phone to UPC too. I reduced my outgoing internet/mobile etc bills drastically!!! No TV any more either as I stopped watching it a long time ago.

I am not on 120k like most of you here, so it makes a difference. The savings can go towards buying more goats

Re: UPC/Sunrise - Internet/Mobile advice

Don't be shy, 119K is also survivable

Thanks for this thread. This triggered a check for me too. I am stuck with swisscom 50Mbps, while now I see the new norm is 1Gbps... Latest sunrise deal seems quite nice - we home L (49CHF). But they want to lock you in for two years. Of course next year same speed for new customers will be 39chf or something...

LOL

Just ping them on chat and they will waive the activation fee.
They did that for me and any people I know.

I can't because if I give the exact figure then technically I could be identified. I prefer keeping my online and offline life separate. What I can tell you is that if you are budget minded and want to go with UPC but not risk with Yallo and similar even cheaper types then-

UPC CHF19 a month for mobile, free unlimited mobile + landline calls in Switzerland. 4GB of mobile data per month. I used to have 500mb with Sunrise for similar price and no free calls (only to 3 numbers etc)!
UPC CHF 29 you could get the unlimited mobile data option. 4GB was enough for me, so I picked the CHF19 option.

UPC CHF39 for 600Mbit/s internet (plenty fast), no TV (maybe basic channels), landline but no free calls (will be using mobile for calls anyway).

If you can negotiate down more on those standard prices then that is on you. I was on the fastest UPC option, so I downgraded, and frankly I don't notice any difference, most of the time the bottleneck is the server and 600Mbit/s is plenty fast anyway.
