What a scam. They make money off keeping people on hold, with no idea how much the call will wind up costing in the end.

Why would Swisscom, or whomever, share their 0848 revenue with the company being called? That’s what the 0900 numbers or for.

0848 numbers are a bit of a scam. I have a sub with unlimited calls to fixed and mobile numbers, but doesn't include 0848 numbers, which not surprisingly are business numbers. However 058 numbers, which are available throughout Switzerland are included. Don't understand what the distinction is, except you pay for one but not for the other.
