Re: Cheap amplifier for passive speakers?

If it needs to be cheap, then why not have a look at Ricardo or Tutti? Plenty of 2nd hand stuff on the market.

Warranty and not knowing the real condition of the product.

Re: Cheap amplifier for passive speakers?

Hopefully this will be helpful to others in future, as I just had the same situation where I was looking for a mini amp to power some bookshelf speakers and bought this; Fosi Audio BT20A https://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B07...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I did my research and reviews are very positive online. It seems to be the best mini amp in its price category.

It drives my Dali Zensor Pico speakers perfectly and my PC now has Hi-Fi grade audio which is several leaps ahead of the usual PC speakers.

Re: Cheap amplifier for passive speakers?

…power that is stated is not real, noise at 1/3 of power very big, at the power declared should have quite big heat sink and forced ventilation...
…link to something not expensive and with speakers included:https://www.gear4music.com/PA-DJ-and...CABEgIdo_D_BwE

Yes Nobsound/Fosi type of cheap Chinese ones are not fully accurate in the specs they state.
Regarding heat, they are class D amps so produce less heat compared to class A/B amps like Cambridge Audio AXA35 etc.

That is how I understand. Happy to be corrected.

They both use this (full specs):

They use two of them, each bridged.

Re: Cheap amplifier for passive speakers?

Have a look at this

https://www.pureaudio.ch/argon-sa1-verstarker.html

It's rebranded and scaled down version of NAD AMP3.

Argon is HifiKluben brand.
