Sky Italia

Hello!

I know a quality service for European customers (outside UK) to get Sky UK. I haven't found any comparable service for Sky Italia though. Does anyone know where and how is the best way to get it in Switzerland?

Re: Sky Italia

Get the decoder and contract shipped to an italian address and install the dish by yourself and/or get a technician to do it. It's illegal though.

Re: Sky Italia

The dish is set up already. It's not illegal if you do it right (just like Sky UK). Do you know of any service who solves the "Italian address" problem here in Switzerland just like many services do it with Sky UK?

Re: Sky Italia

Actually it probably is illegal, same as for having SKY UK here.

SKY UK are ONLY licensed to broadcast in the UK, therefore they have to show the officials that they try to control/stop people viewing their programs abroad.

Re: Sky Italia

it's not illegal per say, it's breaching terms and conditions. If you're just a "consumer" then the worst they can do is cut you off.

I believe you can get Sky in Media Markt, Grancia. Road trip?

Re: Sky Italia

Not sure if it's actually illegal or just a breech in terms etc...

Everyone knows it goes on, but I guess as long as they control that the user has a UK address, then this fulfulls the terms/conditions. Unless the people working at SKY UK and those responsible for the broadcast licenses have never travelled to Europe etc.. where just about every English bar has this.

Anyhow not worth loosing sleep over.

Mhm, I think there should be some sort of "fermo posta" service where you pay for your own box and address.. if I get time I could probably come up with something more concrete.

Thanks for helping me out here. I'm still looking for ways to get it myself but it's kind of difficult.

Re: Sky Italia

There are Sky Italia receivers for sale over in the back-left corner past the TVs and CDs. Bottom shelf sees a Sky Italia box - with a years' basic sub I think.
