How do I do to watch the basic TV channel package? Antenna connection.

Hi all!

I've recently signed up with UPC to have internet at home, with it it came the basic package of TV channels and I wonder how we get to watch those channels on the TV. Do we need to connect the TV to the antenna of the building? I have no TV box.

Here some photos, first the plug on the wall (the one used is connected to the router)

And here the connection on the TV

Do I need to get a cable to connect it? Will the TV start finding the TV channels if I do a channel search?

Thanks!

If I remember correctly, the free connector on the wall socket must be connected to the TV.

I'm sure UPC has sent you a leaflet with pictures explaining all the different modes of connecting TVs and routers.
Mine had color-codes for the different diagrams (blue or green) depending on the shape of the wall socket.

Some more infos here https://www.upc.ch/en/support/cable-...ableConnection

Hi there! You only need to connect the TV to the wall socket and use the parameters from the following page to search for the free channels. However if you cannot find any channels it might be due to the socket being sealed in the past. In this case UPC will have to send a technician to un-seal it. Hope this helps!

Doesn't UPC offer these media boxes that need to be connected to the TV via HDMI?
As other said, check the leaflet provided by UPC.

Thank you! I've revised the link and only got one more doubt..

One last question, for the cable, could you let me know which cable should I be buying to get connected the TV?Something like this for instance?

Or this perhaps?

Both should do, cāble d'antenne is what you need, they connect to the upper socket on the tv backside. They only differ in length, and the fact that the connector of the 2nd immediately makes a 90° turn, which you will probably want if the socket is behind something, e.g. a rack, as it may reduce the distance you need between wall and racket.

If you can, it's probably best to take the pictures of socket and tv backside with you to the retailer and let them sort it out.
