American Football Season

Does anyone know of a channel on the tube/tv that will be broadcasting any American football games, preferably live? I have a satelite dish, but no sky sports. Thanks.

Re: American Football Season

There are a few threads where this has already been discussed:
Watching NFL football ...
Where do they show the Chicago Bears game ...
North American Sport Network
Satellite TV on internet

The Austrian station, ORF1, will be broadcasting tonight's Saints-Colts matchup live in "2-Ton" (that ain't heavy, it's German/English...).

You should be able to tune into ORF1 with Cablecom in Zurich.

Like mentioned in the other threads - NASN! After looking for 'ages' this channel is the only real deal in Switzerland. Subscribed last year, before the season kicked off and watched (almost) every game!
For the real football-feeling, I can recommend SIRIUS radio. God, those commentators are losin' it... screamin'... shoutin'... As far as I know, you can sign-up for a three day trial, so check it out occasionally.

We subscribe to this: http://www.streamtvnow.tv/

It's really cheap and the games are live. We just watched opening games last night!

American Football viewing

Does anybody know where one can watch American Football games within the Zurich area? I would love to catch some NFL games and also college games for that matter. I walked past a Hooters restaurant on Langstrasse and I noticed they were showing a game a few weeks back, but Hooters isn't exactly my favorite establishment
Thanks for any input!

Paddy Reilly's has a bunch of TVs. If you ask, I bet they'd put the game on one of them for you.

Re: American Football viewing

if you already moved to Zürich you may want to update your location

It has been discussed before with lots of suggestions, search the forum for NFL or NBA.

Some have a Slingbox.

A friend of mine has a Yahoo NFL package online.

Are you looking for a bar to watch it or just any means to watch it?

Re: American Football viewing

I just purchased the NFL Game Pass and it is truly amazing. You do have to watch on your PC/Mac but I have a 24"iMac and the HD quality was amazing. For $250 you can watch all games, up to 4 at a time and then even go back and "rewind" to see games you may have missed.

Re: American Football viewing

I have to agree about the Game Pass HD. The quality is awesome (best internet TV I've ever seen), and having all of the games archived so that you can watch them whenever you want is great.

Re: American Football viewing

all these are great suggestions, thanks everybody! are there any college football fans out there? i'm a big USC fan and they play Ohio St this saturday. would anyone be interested in meeting up somewhere to watch the game together? it'd be cool to meet up with some football fans every now and again because those fans seem to be few and far between here (at least for our version of football ).

Re: American Football viewing

It seems that ORF1 will not show any games tonight. This is terrible. How can one see their schedule of planned games for this season?

They don't show NFL games weekly. You get the Super Bowl, plus perhaps the Conference Championships. They do have a highlights show once or twice a week, though. No idea the days or times. You have to get NASN to see the NFL in Switzerland or pay for it online.

One further option is to watch it online illegally. Try searching for MyP2P, Copcast, TVUPlayer, TVAnts - or, at least, those sources worked in the past, it may have changed now. Availability, reliability, and quality aren't great, but its the best you can do for free.
