Does a seller on ricardo.ch need to pay?

When someone sell things on recardo, does he/she need to pay? Especially when the trade is not successful.
Thank you!

Re: Does a seller on ricardo.ch need to pay?

you pay a listing fee depending on the ad and you pay a percentage of the sale price.

The short answer is yes, the seller pays, the fee is related to the selling price of the item. (You only get a break as a seller on your birthday when they send you a special time -limited offer). Ricardo is available only in German or French. Occasionally you will see some ads with some English text, in addition to the German, but in my opinion you need to be able to function in one of those languages to manage things properly. If you cannot read and understand the terms of usage of Ricardo, especially if you are a seller, better not to run an ad there. There are English language websites where you can offer things for sale in Switzerland, without a fee. For starters there is the classifieds section of this forum.

There are other sites (in English)

Re: Does a seller on ricardo.ch need to pay?

If your item doesn't sell, you only have to pay the commission to place the ad...which depends on the starting price...

There is an option which you indicate that if your item did not sell, that the ad is automatically reactivated. If it finally sells, you only have to pay the commission to place the ad ONCE and the final commission of the sold item which also depends on the price it was sold.

If the item didn't sell the second time around, you will have to pay 2 times the commission to place the ad...

hope this makes sense to you...

Do I need to choose some options to make my auction "automatically reactive"? Do you mean if I choose "automatically reactive", I only need to pay the fee for ads once and the final commission once? Otherwise I need to pay ads fee several times?

Re: Does a seller on ricardo.ch need to pay?

the first link should be (I think)

www.xpatxchange.ch

and yes, there is option where you could indicate if you would like your ad to be automatically reactivated if there are no bidders the first time round...

Charges are as I have mentioned before....
