Is there any way I can listen to the World cup cricket commentry from the BBC online?

Apparently the feed is only available to UK users

It's England vs. The Kiwis and I really don't want to miss it

Or people appearing to be in the UK. I would imagine that it would be possible to use a proxy for such a purpose, though of course I could never recommend it.

ok so how theoretically would one do that? for us IT challenged folks but cricket fanatics......There is a lot of difference in skills for cricket compared to computer stuff..I was quite good at cricket - you know what that means

Basic idea is that you go to a proxy site where you type in the link that you really want to look at, then when the web server at the target site gets the request for the page (or audio file or whatever) it sends it to the proxy site which sends it to you. What you need to do is find a proxy site in the UK.

I know it isn't the same, but don't the BBC do a live text report? The Guardian do, the one for England/NZ was at http://sport.guardian.co.uk/cricket/...035764,00.html

Has anyone found a way of getting BBC 5Live Extra.
Not being able to listen to TMS for the Sri Lanka series is driving me nuts.
I have tried proxy servers but to no avail. Does anyone know of a working proxy?
If anyone has found a way please reveal your secret. Watching the score click round on cricinfo is too labour intensive when I need to be working.

Will this also work on a MAC?

TVAnts has a Mac version that you can download from their site. The others you'll have to search for or run the Windows programs under Bootstrap emulator on the Mac.

not completely sure what that means, but it gives a me a enough information to research it myself.
