taking help from friend in UK for sky - does it work

Dear Friends,

I have just shifted to Lugano and need some English channels on my TV - and I am ready for Sky after reading the threads - just one question - hope it will work if I get a friend in UK to buy me a digital box and card. Am not sure - about how I pay, ca I use my card, etc etc. Can someone help?
Thanks

Hi,
Yes it will, if your friend is able to manipulate Sky's operators. However, Sky's procedures and the time taken to deal even with simple problems means that sooner or later your friend will no longer be your friend unless he has the patience of a Saint.

You could do no better than contact Insat International. You will not regret it. Superb company to deal with.

Most of us just do it ourselves and save the cost. In 7 years I had to get my brother in law to make 3 or 4 calls max.

Did you read all of the links under http://www.englishforum.ch/tv-intern...tart-here.html already? If yes what specific questions do you still have.

My tip: Definitely get Sky+ to quote other 1/2... "The best gadget you ever bought.. and I can tell you I've bought some."

satman, you've posted twice on the forum, both "selling" Insat whilst being located in London.

I assume you're connected to them as will others. If you are, be honest and maybe you'll get some custom. If not, I would advise people to not take their business to Insat based on an anonymous posting on an internet forum and some unsubstantiated "testamonials" on their website.

-2 to Insat.
