Have you actually asked in your local pc shop / Interdiscount / Fust if they 'speaky English'? You'll be surprised how many sales people can speak English when on commission...

Re: Buying a pc

yes; and just to make you understand the bargain PCDesigns will be doing his best to deliver, www.toppreise.ch does have an extensive listing of toys.

If you want something in your hands today, ensure you ask the question in the store "does this have an English OS?". Many don't - Acer, Sony for example. Toshiba does.

Not everyone wants an off-the-shelf system and to deal with the school boys trying to do repairs and explaining the systems and configurations in poor English. Most repair people are not technicians and warranty service takes weeks to months.. who wants that? and the operating system and software in English is not easily found.

why is it no one answered the person for help until I offered our company's services?

We always do. Compare as you may, service after the sale speaks for itself. Anyone who needs parts can ask for a quote instead of toppreise where the companies are mostly in German only. That is not very fun.

Re: Buying a pc

no, I mentioned some viable alternatives to ensure his options were listed. If he wants it today, can you get it to him. Plus I believe I was dealing with #2 around 10am

And your pricing seems very reasonable; if you were not so negative about my whole inquiry, you might have gotten my order

I don't understand. I joined the group, a few days later you asked for a quote, normally people do this only for an example and to prove a point and have no interest in the purchase, so I proceeded with caution and did not receive the order. (as I assumed)
If I spent all my time giving free quotes to people who do not want to purchase, when are the real customers served? If you mentioned you were serious, I would have provided you with proper information in private and not on an open forum. No way to do "proper" business. We are a professional company and like to remain "personal" that everything we sell is a custom fit...
best stop before I get slammed again for business conversation...

I would just like to point out that I did not mention I was not serious

I'm not picking on you but, if I was in your position, I would do my best to get 1 or 2 customers here because expat word-of-mouth is a powerful ally.

But you have your business model; maybe that's why I'm a slave to the rythmn?

There's always Dell.ch - you can order Windows in English.

Ditto that!!! Dell makes so much money, they don't need service contracts from the little guys.

I have had two laptops and two desktops from Dell - I've never needed any support...

I know, that is why I don't understand why a few of you have problems with the company. I have a few clients form this forum, and they and many others, are very happy.
Others have never done business with us, so why disrespect us? I even received a rude comment for no reason from a simple thread. Maybe other people just don't like dealing with real service technicians who could teach them something... I dunno...
buy on-line = service??? who knows...
who else hand delivers what they sell?

wow, either you have shares in Dell, or they sell you bad equipment that always needs to be replaced...
