This has suddenly made my iPhone useful in the UK

Very handy. All I need now is to work out how to unlock my iPhone. I know it has something to do with yellow snow, but I haven't got any further than that. I'm also a bit paranoid about bricking it.

It's easy, plenty of guides on the interweb.

I'm seriously thinking about upgrading, so I'm even more tempted to try it on the older one now, on the basis that if I do brick it I'll replace it anyway. Am I right in thinking yellowsnow is the way to go?

EDIT: Scratch that, I'm on 2.2.1 which can't be unlocked.
