Unlimited internet on UK T-mobile PAYG

Excellent news for those of us who make frequent trips back home to the YooKay. You can now get a 5-day unlimited internet top up on your T-Mobile Pay As You Go account for only 2.50. And If you go over the 5 days they only charge you an extra 1 a day.

The product is called a 5-day web n walk booster

This has suddenly made my iPhone useful in the UK

Very handy. All I need now is to work out how to unlock my iPhone. I know it has something to do with yellow snow, but I haven't got any further than that. I'm also a bit paranoid about bricking it.

It's easy, plenty of guides on the interweb.

I'm seriously thinking about upgrading, so I'm even more tempted to try it on the older one now, on the basis that if I do brick it I'll replace it anyway. Am I right in thinking yellowsnow is the way to go?

EDIT: Scratch that, I'm on 2.2.1 which can't be unlocked.

Re: Unlimited internet on UK T-mobile PAYG

Sounded too good to be true (at least for what I had in mind)...
and it is

here's the fine print

===============Internet on your phone restrictions==== Remember that you can only use internet on your phone in the UK.
You can't:
  • Use your phone as a modem
  • Use it for peer to peer file sharing
  • Use it for instant messaging (except if you have a Sidekick)
  • Make internet phone calls
====Fair use policy====
  • This plan comes with a fair use policy of 40MB a day
===

Your mileage may vary ....
