Here is my good deed for the day !

I want to share a document with you which details some really cool menu options that can help you to take care of some issues that can crop up, expecially with Sky+ boxes.

These menu options described in the document are not visible when you normally use the Sky boxes. And the stuff in there helps you to tweak the sky box in pretty much the same way, as you can with an administrator account for the dumb microsoft PCs.

I tried it, and It really works ! So feel free to download this document and use and share it.

Unfortunatley I am a few steps behind... can you or someone else advise/help on getting hold of and setting up Sky+ in Switzerland.

points to note about using the installer menu - it can have dramatic effects. Don't change anything in there you don't understand.

Mrg - use search; there are lots of sky setup threads.

One of the best methods is to get a sky box from ebay uk ... i got a sky+ box with a quad LNB and all cables delivered to me for close to 220 CHf ... which is the cheapest that it can ever get. You can get a subscription thru a friend or many companies that offer this ... but u pay for their services. You take a pick. There are many threads out there on this forum. They are really helpful and easy to follow.
