I rented an apartment that has cable connection in a small room but doesn't have it in the living room (don't ask why). Obviously i'd like to have TV in the living room and I wonder how I can do that.

One option - "extension cable" from one room to another Does anybody know whether you can buy such cable here and how much does it cost?

Another option - ask cable company to make an extra cable plug. Any idea how much that may cost? Knowing swiss prices and speed and not knowing french I feel reluctant about that...

Did anybody have to manage such problem?

you should be able to get this cable you need at interdiscount, media markt, jumbo, coop, migros. Just maybe get a splitter to branch into two outlets though, (1 in 2 out) and look to see if it is a male or female connection on all items (TV's, wall jack, splitter etc)
you can sometimes drill through the walls to make your route shorter, but watch for pipes, wires, explosives etc inside.

Is this cable very expensive - I will need quite a lot of it...

please quantify "a lot". 20m pre-made would cost I guess about 30 francs. Make-your-own is cheaper and it's easy to do - plus you get the length you need.

I make [so "terminate"] my own TV cables, satellite cables and network cables.

I will probably need in a ballpark of 20m.
How do you make your own?
I am not technically illiterate but had never dealt with TV cables specifically...

don't waste your money on making your own since they are not generally as good as premade (if you are all thumbs) plus the extra costs of the tools and the time are a waste unless you make them all the time.

Only issue with asking the cable company is
a) You must ask your landlord first.
b) They will pass the work on to a local electrician and add a margin...
