Cricket on TV, anyone?

Help! I am missing all the good cricket games, and cannot seem to find any channels that broadcast the games, not even BBC. Can anybody point me in the right direction? We have a cable TV contract with Wasserwerke.

Re: Cricket on TV, anyone?

If you solve this then let me know. As a cricket fanatic I'm still looking. Surely Indian TV must show it all? Come on my sub-continent buddies where do we go here?

Re: Cricket on TV, anyone?

I've subscribed to Bluewin and I've never seen any cricket on TV. Admittedly I do not have the Teleclub Sports package so I can't vouch for that service.

There are always streams of other alternatives

Re: Cricket on TV, anyone?

I'd love to know, too! I had to sit in front of my PC today, reading cricinfo's ball-by-ball coverage of the first Champions Trophy semi-final (what an astonishing performance -- sorry, cricketer!)

Unfortunately we're probably going to be locked in to bluwin TV, due to cabling issues. However, I wonder if this thread on DIY (and virtually free) satellite TV might help? It's a bit old now but the instructions may still be valid. No guarantees, I haven't tried it or heard anything about it.

If anyone tries it and it works (or even if not), please post back here so we can all learn!

FYI, for anyone who hasn't discovered cricinfo yet, I've found it by far the most comprehensive coverage of world cricket, with excellent ball-by-ball coverage of all internationals and many county/state/province etc matches too; not to mention insightful opinion articles, stats, photos, retrospectives ... everything any cricket fan could possibly want.

So I guess I just confirmed the origin of my user name!

Ha yeah Cricinfo is the online Babylon for cricket fans. Not too sure about their 3D feature though..... Nice desktop app if you're at work and want to follow the score though.

That Australian innings was an absolute bollocking - its embarrassing.

Re: Cricket on TV, anyone?

I've got Bluewin TV with French options (I can speak French much much better than German) and the Twenty20 Champions League is on Eurosport 2 with hilarious French commentary. There is one french commentator and an english guy with the worst french I've ever heard, I think I'll apply for the gig!

www.bowled.net always has all the matches, usually quite cheap, can buy entire package or a game.

Re: Cricket on TV, anyone?

@lalit

still trying to get cricket on TV?

I can suggest an online streamer although you will need a good internet connection (5MB+). The streamer connects to your TV and world like a cable box. Extremely portable (slightly bigger than a box of cigarettes). With the streamer you will get decent quality video of cricket plus a host of indian/pakistani/bangladeshi channels. The streamer showed the Twenty20 world cup, Champions Trophy as well as the recently concluded Champion League (gosh darn it I wanted T&T to win!). All is for a one time payment of the streamer.

let me know if you're interested.

Re: Cricket on TV, anyone?

ha ha ha!
just tuned in to Eurosport 2. Saw 5 mins of the Australia/T&T game. I did not know they were showing the tournament.
German commentary interspersed with English cricketing terms was really weird.
