3rd Party VOIP on Cable/DSL?

Are there 3rd party VOIP carrier restrictions in CH? I saw a few VOIP carriers on comparis, but didn't know if they were part of fixed-line carrier. For instance Switzernet, which costs 9CHF/month (is that right????). Are there restrictions on the Cable/DSL contract that limit one's ability to use something like Switzernet on any broadband connection?

Thanks,
Ben..

Re: 3rd Party VOIP on Cable/DSL?

are you asking if you're restricted to any particular VoIP provider?

No.

You'll find people here with US, UK and Aussie VoIP numbers

Re: 3rd Party VOIP on Cable/DSL?

No. I'm asking if broadband provider have stipulations that say you cannot use VOIP with their service (or any particular VOIP service provider) with their broadband.

Re: 3rd Party VOIP on Cable/DSL?

the short answer is no. The longer answer is if you subscribe to one of the few capped services, you may go over your limit (but I doubt it).
