By "equivalent" I am assuming you mean a good selection, good price and good customer service? No, there is no equivalent in Switzerland.
There are a few services available but they don't differ much from video rental shops from 20-25 years ago in their selection, price and late-fee policies. The only difference is that you get the DVDs in the mail.
Look into AppleTV with a US itunes account.

Try movie2k.com you can get the latest movies in english, either streaming or download. Some of the quality is quite good if you use the 2k server, most of the other servers need you to download software!!
I use it once or twice a week with no ill effects to the confuser.

There is service I know of, the name escapes me, will find out, but its sort of a Library where you donate a couple of movies (this is not the ef library) and you get access to the library. You only pay for the delivery charges, but you can say goodbye to your movies once you donate, and you can only donate what the library doesnt have. Will get the name for you but maybe someone out there knows what it is called..
