Teleboy. Watch or record domestic TV streams

I noticed a thread reporting recent issues with Zattoo, which I have heard about beyond this forum. I recently registered with http://www.teleboy.ch, and I've found it a pretty satisfactory alternative for when the need to watch streaming TV online arises.

And what's more, you can record to your account for later viewing. Even on a free account you get about 2h storage space, which is not to be sneezed at!

Re: Teleboy. Watch or record domestic TV streams

I signed up and whilst I can see you may record for free (to watch later), if I understand correctly they want CHF 13.90 per month to access the live TV streams. If that's the case then between Billag and Cablecom I already pay more than I'd like for TV. For folks without TV, or waiting for a Cablecom connection or something it might be useful - they carry more English channels than Zattoo from what I can see.

Re: Teleboy. Watch or record domestic TV streams

I've just installed the Teleboy TV app on my iPhone. It has BB1, BBC2, BBC Entertainment, BBC World News, ITV 1 and ITV2. On first use, all channels appear to be free and the picture quality over Wifi is great.

Thanks for this, it's cool. Like Dan, it seems that some of the content is free and I'm on the train watching Jezza.

Thanks!

Re: Teleboy. Watch or record domestic TV streams

I have a Teleboy free account as back-up for when Zattoo has a hissy fit.

Not as aesthetically pleasing to the eye as Zattoo, but it does the job and apparently premium account holders can download shows to their hard drive too.

The other incentive is that as part of the free package, some channels are free in HD unlike Zattoo, such as BBC One and ITV.
