Re: best mobile deals

Hi,

I've just signed-up for an Orange plan.

Iphone: CHF 229
Monthly Cost: 39 (1GB data download + talk free with 3 numbers at my choice + call any number in Europe or US paying the Swiss tariff CHF 0.45/min.).

Discounts:
CHF 100 for purchasing online
CHF 100 for switching from Swisscom to Orange
CHF 50 because I was recommended by a friend (my friend got CHF 150 and will share another 75 with me).
50% discount on the monthly cost for the first 6 months.

24 months contract.

I think that's a good deal.

About the service, my friends like it and say although it isn't as good as Swisscom, it's very close to be.

I'm also with Orange. The perks are good when you sign up, but for me it ended there.

If anyone can tell me how to get my monthly phone bill cheaper than 250 CHF I'd be ecstatic!

Re: best mobile deals

My husband and I just bought HTC Desires from Orange (which I like even better than the iPhone, but I digress).

Cost of phone #1: (49 CHF)
Voucher that came with Phone #1: 100 CHF
Cost of Phone #2: (49 CHF) (paid for with voucher)
Voucher that came with Phone #2: 100 CHF
= 102 CHF still left in vouchers.

We were also given free protector cases and a few other bits, and 1/2 the cost of our bill for 6 months (so, instead of 39.99/mo, we're paying 19.99).

International rates and international roaming are also cheaper than the competition currently.

Re: best mobile deals

There's talk of a new 4G version of the iPhone being launched in the summer.
I am not sure when it would be available in Switzerland but the rumour is that the iPhone would finally get a flash for its camera.
Has anyone else heard about the next gen of iPhone or a 4G network in CH?
If this is of interest to anyone buyng a phone shortly, best to go for a 12 month contract at the moment (rather than 18 / 24).

I think it means 4th generation of the iPhone, not 4G network

what permit do you have? I think you'll struggle to get any decent phone on an l permit without paying a huge deposit.

Possibly but the person who told me the story said it was 4G. But it does seem odd for US phone manufacturers to be innovators so maybe 4G in that story means 4th gen.
Seems the early adopters of 4G so far are Scandinavia and Germany (where the 4G iPhone prototype was lost/stolen).

Sweet Jebus! Is that deal still around? What's the deal called? That's exactly what I need - especially the free minutes to Europe!
