Swisscom connection sockets

In my apartment I only seem to have co-axial cable sockets and two ethernet ports (labelled Telephone and Internet respectively) in each of the rooms.... but no Swisscom style sockets.

The question is, do I need to have these Swisscom sockets installed, or can you get adaptors that allow you to plug the TV box/Dsl router etc.. into the ethernet port?

According to the postcode checker for my address, I should be able to all Swisscom's services and I know that all the flats in my building have the same set up i.e cable + ethernet sockets.

Cheers

Re: Swisscom connection sockets

You're fine. The telephone (RJ11) and ethernet (RJ45) connections that you have are all you need. The one in the pic is an "old" Swiss-style connector that is still prevelant in CH, but I don't think are being installed anymore. I have that style in my building (built in late 1980's) and I need a adapter to turn it to RJ45 (or RJ11 I forgot) and then I connect all my phones and routers after that.
