| | "Sitel SA" bill, separate from Cablecom bill.
I'm an internet-only Cablecom customer. In addition to the usual 50Sfr/month bill from Cablecom, I get a quarterly bill from Sitel SA. Does anyone know what this bill covers? I've been paying it without really knowing what it is that I'm paying for. |

I heard of an announcement some time ago that Cablecom bought Sitel SA and that they are somewhat responsible in the Romandie region. Sorry, can't help you much there. In the German speaking region, I only have one bill ( still haven't received it for months actually ).

Sorry to go off topic OP, but I have not received a bill since switching to FiberPower about 6 months ago. I am usually a defender of CC, but what is up with this billing issue?

I also got bit for ca 30,- per month.
I called Cablecom and they said this is for the line maintenance and that it was mentioned in the terms and conditions. And I do not use any of this TV or radio services.
Heck, for that money I could have taken Swisscom which offers either a regular phone line or a cheap mobile contract plus an ADSL connection.
It looks like I will have to pay for the whole year of the agreement.

Hi Fduvall
We are not alone. While I do pay up in advance leaving a healthy credit balance of at least 3 months, I make sure I lodge a report every month, to which someone calls me and confirms that my monies are being deducted despite not having bills for months. That way, I know that I will not have an unpleasant surprise when they do decide to issue bills.

How in the name of ALL THAT IS HOLY do they justify this?
I have been on Cablecom's side since I arrived here, but really, this is beyond the pale.

Maybe the recent changes in the acquisition and management has something to do with bill production
I'm not complaining as I have a decent connection for a decent price and as long as I do not get unpleasant surprises.

I noticed this post was originally from 2012 but I still don't fully understand the answer.
We pay Cablecom 112chf per month for their top speed internet, television and phone service. In addition I receive a bill from Sitel (which I believe is the service charge for the cable that delivers you the internet) This bill is around 100chf per month. So combined the bill comes in at over 200chf per month.
Am I right in saying that this only applies to Cablecom customers?
Are there any Swisscom customers on here? Do you have to pay for the service provider and an additional fee for the delivery of the service through the cable? Our connection is incredibly poor, my speed tests show I am getting only a 10th of the speed we are paying for and it has been like that for two months, it is so bad we cannot make calls on skype using the net. All for the bargin price of 200chf plus ....
Why exactly do you have to pay for the cable, when you are already paying for the service?
And is this the same for Swisscom?
Thanks Amanda

I have been a Cablecom customer, in 2 cantons, for about 6 years now, I never had a Sitel extra bill. I have Internet, telephone via the Internet modem, and digital TV and I pay less than CHF 100,-- per month.
I suggest you go to a Cablecom shop and ask them what they are doing. I suspect Sitel is overcharging you.

With cablecom you pay for the services ( TV, Internet, telephone) which is your subscription package and you also have to pay the connection fee for the physical connection to the building.
The connection fee is billed separately to the subscription fee and people living in apartments may never actually directly receive the bills as they are often included as part if the monthly charges.
We live in a house and pay the connection charges quarterly and the total is around 100chf per quarter, it's certainly not 100chf per month.

My understanding is the Sitel bills are normal. They're for the cable infrastructure and everyone around gets this bill.
