TV cable and socket related question

I have a TV socket in my living room but I want to place the TV in my bedroom. I would need 10-20 metres of cable to extend the socket to my bedroom. The cable is normally round and I would have problem closing the bedroom door. Are there flat TV cables out there? Where would I buy them? I assume that the normal round ones would be available in places like Fust and Coop but what about the flat ones?

Any special German name I should be aware of? Would appreciate your help.
Saint Google did not provide many answers for "flat TV cable".

P.S- If I buy a new generation of LCD TV then would it make my 15-20m cable effort redundant? New LCD screens still require the same TV cable for the signal correct?

Go to your local Jumbo or Co-op Bau and Hobby and have a look or ask. There are certainly flat cables for satellite cable, not sure about co-ax. You need the flat cable (normally about 6 to 8 inches long) plus connectors for the cable before the door and after the door. I have one coming through a window and it works fine.

with some creativity, you could actually use satellite cable - you'd just need to re-end the cable so it plugs into the wall and TV. Satellite cable is just higher quality - but it would be stiffer and more rigid.

LCD TVs still need the same input.

Is it possible for you to drill a small hole in the wall to pass the round cable through? you can always remove it later, plug the hole and hide those ugly cables!

Wall is 8inches thick Too much effort to drill 2x 8inches. I rather drill part of the door
