Satellite Cam and HD?

OK totally confused. I purchased a Humax HDCI 2000 Satellite receiver & transparent dish. Set it up (with help from details on this forum) no problem. Managed to get a good few channels and BBC HD which looks stunning.

I then purchased a T-Rex 4.6 Cam and Cas 3 card programmer. Iíve installed the T-Rex software (predsaur 2.16) no problem and did the security update. Looking at the receiver it says it is decoding OK. However I donít seem to get any extra channels and have just read that my FreeSat card from Sky needs a sky box to activate (I thought I could do it with the Humax receiver). Iíve also been told that I should have bought a Dragon Cam as the T-Rex is no longer being updated quickly enough. Am I missing something or should I be getting any extra channels? Should I be pointing at a different Sat instead of Astra 2 to get them or have I just wasted 300CHF based on duff information?

Re: Satellite Cam and HD?

Dragon CAM and T-Rex are one and the same.
Super T-Rex is the next gen card and if you're loading Predasaur firmware, you have a Super T-Rex.

With your freesat from sky card, you will get C4, five, five US, five life and Sky Three. However the CAM will not keep the card alive and you'll have to use a Dodgybox to bring it back to life.

Ever thought you should have asked first?

Mind you, the only thing that will keep it alive is a Dreambox or Dodgybox.
