Re: How do I use Bluewin TV?

Hi,

I just got my Bluewin tv last week!

To record, go to TV Guide (or Favoriten, if you have set that up). Scroll to the program you want to record using left, right, up, or down. Press i for information when the program is highlighted, then use OK to select "Aufnehmen". It will then record it for you. You don't have to set the times or anything.

Press m for menu, scroll right onto "TV-Aufnahmen", select "Eigene Aufnahmen". You should then see a list of what you have recorded. Select the one you want to watch and select "Abspielen". Afterwards, go back to that same section and select "Loeschen" to delete the recording you have viewed. It will ask if you are sure, so you just press "Loeschen" again.

I hope this helps.

kfc.

Re: How do I use Bluewin TV?

Keine Inhalt vorhanden means that nothing recorded as you stated. For some reason Bluewin don't broadcast BBC3 and BBC4 after around midnight so even if you select something from the TV guide to record at this time then it will be blank....

I find it easiest to select programmes to record and to manage my existing recordings via http://epg.sso.bluewin.ch/de/. You need to login then you have all the functionality to view and filter the TV guide and to record individual programmes or series, as well as to delete your existing recordings. It's much faster to do it this way than on the TV although it is only available in D/F/I as well.

And Bluewin doesn't offer any form of support for their users?

Re: How do I use Bluewin TV?

grooner - I can ring Bluewin sure, I have found Swisscom very helpful and friendly - but being a typical shy person, I don't wanna ask them for help until I am totally sure I can't do it myself LOL

Jekyll - thanx for that info about no transmission, I did manage to copy a programe tuesday night and it worked, but the program I copied monday night didn't work, as I said ... so I will try again and see what happens. I'll also check out the URL you noted.
