Sony Bravia KDL-40XBR6 from US to Switzerland

I wonder if I should bother moving my TV from the US to Switzerland? I know it could be NTSC, Secam and Pal. Not sure if the new TVs are all mutli-systems. Any ides?

Many thanks!

You're better off buying a similiar TV here, once that supports PAL and has the Swiss power cord as well as the proper power board ie 240V AC.

And welcome to the forum BTW.

Re: Sony Bravia KDL-40XBR6 from US to Switzerland

I had the same question regarding our LG Plasma set. We could hook it up to a step-down converter to get around the voltage issue, however ours is not multi-system, so it won't capture the PAL signal (if anyone has found a workaround for this let us know).

I recommend you email Sony Customer Service and ask them, if you can't find any reference to it in the owners manual.

Re: Sony Bravia KDL-40XBR6 from US to Switzerland

i brought my sharp lcd from canada. it works fine. i did not need a voltage adapter, as the power supply takes dual voltage (i called sharp to check this as it was not labeled this way)
i have it hooked up to asky hd box via hdmi, as well as a swiss satelite via regular video wire, everythign works fine. i think as long as you are using an external decoder/tuner, pal isnt an issue anymore.
