Nokia sticks with Symbian for latest round of Smartphones. R.I.P. Nokia.

SOURCE

The company unveiled three new smartphones - E7, C7 and an updated C6 - at London's Nokia World conference.

The C6, C7 and E7 devices all run on Symbian, the most widely used mobile operating system in the world.
The C6 and C7 are both consumer devices with touch screens, high quality cameras and access to Nokia's Ovi app store and Ovi maps navigation service. The E7 is the firm's flagship business phone with a full qwerty keyboard and tilt screen.

Is there anyone that doesn't think Nokia should have gone the Android route to take on HTC and Apple in it's latest round of next gen smartphones ?

Symbian is dead, Android holds the smoking gun and reloads to aim at Apple.

Remember some of user interface experts at Nokia telling me, when iPhone, was launched: it's not going to work, we already tested touchscreen and users don't want it. I think it's a good lesson for companies to learn how quickly things can change. Nokia was arrogant in the pre-iPhone days.
Apple should also take Android seriously and not playing it too arrogant.
